It will be held in the Talbot Campus, Stevenson Lecture Theatre, Bournemouth, BH12 5BB on Thursday, 21 November 2019 from 19:00-21:00

It’s going to be a great opportunity to talk about what the climate crisis means for our communities, as well as the solutions and actions we can take to make a difference.

"What is a 'climate emergency' and how can we solve it?"

This event, led by local Climate Reality leader and activist, Mark Chivers, is designed for a broad audience; based on the science but accessible to everyone. It's perfect for those who want to understand what we mean by a climate emergency but is of equal value to those who have been brought into the movement by recent events led by Students and Extinction Rebellion who are looking for something that joins all the dots and helps with more facts to help in conversations on the climate emergency.

Mark ChiversMark Chivers is the UK National Volunteer Co-ordinator for the Climate Reality Project, and co-founder of Zero Carbon Dorset, a project that identifies and tracks actions required across the county to address the climate crisis.

A former SEDGP Chairman, Mark is an inspirational leader, and considerably raised the profile of the local Green Party during his term of office. His presentations are always well-researched, informative and interesting.

In association with One Tree Planted anyone attending one of these events (and completing the form available on the evening) will have a tree planted in the location of their choice

There's no entrance fee but tickets need to be ordered on Eventbrite. Please see the link below
